Intro
This extension allows you to group text conditions and toggle the visibility of conditions through the use of parent conditions or mutually exclusive child conditions.
The panel closely copies the built-in conditional text palette but with some added functionality:
- It allows you to drag conditions on top of one another to form a parent child relationship (you can create these relationships up to any depth).
- Parents with more than one child can define a mutually exclusive child relationship which allows only one of its children (and all their sub-children) to be visible at once.
Use the radio-button toggle to turn this on and off. (The button only appears on parents with 2 or more children). - The panel also gives you the ability to highlight conditions. Just right-click a condition
and select highlight to choose a highlight color.

Installing
After downloading the .zip file from our web site you must first decompress it.
On Windows, you should right-click the .zip file and select Extract All… or Extract… from the context menu. Do not simply navigate into the .zip file – you must extract it first.
On Mac, you should double-click the .zip file. Depending on how your system is set up the .zip file might be auto-decompressed for you.
Once the file is decompressed, you need to navigate into the decompressed folder, and double-click the installer.
On Mac, you will double-click ConditionalTextGroups2Installer.app (the .app file name extension will probably not be visible).
On Windows, you will double-click ConditionalTextGroups2Installer.exe (the .exe file name extension might not be visible).

Additional Notes
After installing on Windows you might get a warning asking you whether the program installed correctly. Confirm to Windows that it did.
Windows also might show security warnings (e.g. ‘Windows Protected Your PC’). When that happens, allow the app to run. You might need to click ‘More Info’ or similar to make a ‘Run anyway’ button appear.
It is also possible that the installer fails to launch on Windows because of a missing Microsoft runtime. If that is the case you should first run vc_redist.x86.exe which will install this runtime. A copy is provided inside the zip file you downloaded, for convenience, but you can also download this runtime from Microsoft if so desired.
