PlaceAndScale<\/a>, a popular free plug-in for InDesign CS up to CS5, has been updated to version 1.0.7. This version adds InDesign CS5 support. Another important change: it will now by default work in ‘one-shot’ mode, as a result of user-feedback.<\/p>\n

Versions before 1.0.7 would re-effect the target resolution each time an image was pasted or placed. This was often surprising the user with unexpected rescaling of images.<\/p>\n

The latest version applies the necessary scaling just once, and then leaves the image alone. If you manually scale an image up or down and then copy-paste it, it will not be re-scaled again.<\/p>\n

The old behavior is still available by turning off the ‘One-shot operation’ checkbox in the Place and Scale Preferences (under the API menu).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
