Thanks to <em>Soxy<\/em>, one can double-click an EPS file icon in the Finder &#8211; and any Photoshop EPS file will open in Photoshop; any Illustrator EPS files will open in Illustrator.<\/p>\n<p>You can download Soxy from this page:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/downloads\/lightning-brain-soxy\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/downloads\/lightning-brain-soxy\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When that CD filled with EPS files arrives, there&#8217;s no more guessing. Simply double-click any EPS file&#8217;s icon &#8211; and\u00a0<em>Soxy<\/em> will take care of it!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a small demo of how it could go.<\/p>\n<p>I just upgraded my workstation to <em>Soxy<\/em> 1.0.4, but I have not configured it yet to handle EPS files.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s do that first.\u00a0The\u00a0<em>Soxy<\/em> preferences screen can be accessed by simply double-clicking the\u00a0<em>Soxy<\/em> application icon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2090\" title=\"s5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"337\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s5.png 482w, https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s5-300x176.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 337px) 100vw, 337px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I now tick the\u00a0<em>Open with Soxy<\/em> checkbox for the EPS file format &#8211; and from then on, my EPS file worries are over!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"s2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"587\" height=\"385\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have a disk with some images that originated on from a PC; when I mounted it on my desktop earlier, before I installed\u00a0<em>Soxy<\/em>, I saw this:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Screen-shot-2010-01-04-at-12.26.21-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2084\" title=\"Screen shot 2010-01-04 at 12.26.21 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Screen-shot-2010-01-04-at-12.26.21-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Screen-shot-2010-01-04-at-12.26.21-PM.png 359w, https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Screen-shot-2010-01-04-at-12.26.21-PM-300x201.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 251px) 100vw, 251px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">With <em>Soxy <\/em>installed and configured,\u00a0I can now simply select the two EPS file icons and double-click:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2086\" title=\"s3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s3.png 360w, https:\/\/rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/s3-300x199.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 252px) 100vw, 252px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In a unnoticeable split second, <em>Soxy<\/em> analyzes both files, and hands them over to the proper applications.
