It will make downsized copies of the files by prefixing their names with &#8216;KCC_&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more detailed information, see further below.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a &#8216;how to&#8217; YouTube video:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5HmZfREBPRA\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/5HmZfREBPRA<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Goals<\/h2>\n<p><em>KCCSizer<\/em> was developed for the benefit of the members of the Kapiti Camera Club (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kapiticameraclub.co.nz\">http:\/\/www.kapiticameraclub.co.nz<\/a>), with the following\u00a0goals in mind:<\/p>\n<h3>Files below 1MB in size<\/h3>\n<p>First of all, members need to make sure any images they upload to their portfolio on the club web site are below 1MB in size.<\/p>\n<h3>Images\u00a0fit inside a 1920 x 1080 pixels<\/h3>\n<p>Furthermore, on club nights, when images are being projected, they work best if their sizes match up with the size of the video display in the club rooms, which is 1920 x 1080.<\/p>\n<h3>Easy to install and use<\/h3>\n<p>Because the KCC members have a wide variety of computers (Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS X 10.x) , with a wide variety of softwares for image editing (Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, Picasa,&#8230;) it became\u00a0quite cumbersome to try and provide concise instructions on how to achieve the desired goal (fit in 1920 x 1080, less than 1MB in size) with all those softwares.<\/p>\n<p><em>KCCSizer<\/em> is an attempt to work around this issue. It is\u00a0a very simple tool that does only one thing. Inside that folder, you should find a file called\u00a0<em>Macintosh.dmg<\/em>. Having it on the Desktop makes it readily available, but you could\u00a0also move it into your <em>Applications<\/em> folder and add it to your Dock. If you don&#8217;t know how to do that, restart your Mac; it&#8217;ll be gone.<\/p>\n<p>You can now delete all the <em>KCCSizer<\/em>-related items from your <em>Downloads<\/em> folder; you don&#8217;t need them any more.<\/p>\n<h3>Using <em>KCCSizer<\/em> on a Macintosh<\/h3>\n<p>Now collect all images you want to resize.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest is to make a new folder, then go into your image collection, and make copies of any desired the images to this folder.<\/p>\n<p>Be careful: don&#8217;t move the images.
