You can use most of the free tools from Rorohiko Workflow Resources without purchasing a license. Purchasing the optional license unlocks some very useful extra functionality in some of our freebies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/licensing\">https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/licensing<\/a> for more details<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">By itself, it does not &#8216;do&#8217; anything apparent &#8211; instead it assists other plug-ins to do their job.\u00a0You need this plug-in installed to use most of the free InDesign tools you can find on this web site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">When you want to use any third-party (<em>non<\/em>-Rorohiko) tools which are built around\u00a0<em>APID ToolAssistant, <\/em>purchasing a license becomes a<em> must. <\/em>Things won&#8217;t continue to work beyond the demo period without a proper license.\u00a0Make sure you check the third party&#8217;s web site for more info &#8211; don&#8217;t come here and purchase a license to\u00a0<em>APID ToolAssistant<\/em> unless explicitly instructed to do so.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"heading\">Installation<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">Before you start installing, exit out of InDesign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">After downloading APID ToolAssistant you need to decompress the .ZIP file. You might need to decompress some more .ZIP archives that are nested inside of the decompressed result. On a Mac, you also might need to mount a .dmg file to finally get to the file you need.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">Then, you should manage find the correct\u00a0<em>APID ToolAssistant<\/em> plug-in for your platform (Mac\/Win\/CS\/CS2&#8230;\/CS6\/CC).<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\">Drag the components of the APID ToolAssistant to your Plug-Ins folder. There can be one or more components (e.g. for Windows CC you need to drag 4 items across).<\/p>\n<p class=\"content\"><strong>Notes for Windows users<\/strong>: On some Windows installations, the\u00a0<em>APID ToolAssistant<\/em> plug-in will refuse to load.
