There should be five or six new menu items:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/imagelibraryloader\/autoimagelibrary.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"305\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reload Image Library From Document Folder<\/li>\n<li>Add To Image Library From Document Folder<\/li>\n<li>Reload Image Library&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Add To Image Library&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Refresh Image Library<\/li>\n<li>Paste Into Selected Item\u00a0(OPTIONAL &#8211; see below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The first option,\u00a0<em>Reload Image Library&#8230;<\/em> will first clear any images from the\u00a0<em>AutoImageLibrary<\/em> palette, and then ask you to point out a folder. It will then grab all images in that folder, and put them onto the palette. This is a &#8216;clean slate&#8217; approach: all previous entries on the palette are first removed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The second option,\u00a0<em>Append To Image Library&#8230;<\/em> will simply ask you to point out a folder. It will then grab all images in that folder, and add them to the palette. This is a cumulative approach: any images found are added to the existing list on the palette.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The third and fourth options are very similar, but they won&#8217;t ask you to point out a folder. Instead the palette will be loaded from the same folder in which your current document resides.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The fifth option,\u00a0<em>Refresh Image Library<\/em> will first clear any images from the<em>AutoImageLibrary<\/em> palette. Then it will revisit any folder or folders that were previously loaded and re-load the palette from them. This allows you to &#8216;synchronize&#8217; the palette &#8211; for example if images have since been added or removed from one of the folders whose contents are currently being shown.<\/p>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">The fifth option, &#8216;Refresh Image Library&#8217; will<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">first clear any images from the AutoImageLibrary<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">palette. Then it will revisit any folder or<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">folders that were previously loaded and re-load<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">the palette from them. This allows you to<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">&#8216;synchronize&#8217; the palette &#8211; for example if images<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">have been added or removed from one of the folders<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">whose contents are currently being shown.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">The last option, &#8216;Paste Into Selected Item&#8217; is only<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">available if<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">a) you have a licensed version of APIDToolAssistant<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">b) you use InDesign CS3 or CS4<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">You can select a page item, and select a library<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">item on an image library. With both those things selected,<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">this option will place the selected library item into the<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">selected page item.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">Ideally you&#8217;ll assign a shortcut key for this function,<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">so you can simply click, click, hit shortcut key.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">This function also works well together with our<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">ImageHorn tool (version 1.0.2 or higher): you<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">can create a template file, and use ImageHorn to<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">pre-assign fitting options to empty frames.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">Then use &#8216;Paste Into Selected Item&#8217; to place the<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">library item into the frame, and have it automatically<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 1336px; width: 1px; height: 1px;\">fill or fit the frame.<\/div>\n<p>The sixth option, <em>Paste Into Selected Item<\/em> is only\u00a0available when<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you have a licensed version of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/apidtoolassistant.html\" target=\"_self\">APID ToolAssistant<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li>you use InDesign CS3 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can select a page item, and select a library\u00a0item on an image library. With both those things selected,\u00a0this option will place the selected library item <em>into<\/em> the\u00a0selected page item. Ideally you&#8217;ll assign a shortcut key for this function,\u00a0so you can simply click &#8211; click &#8211; hit shortcut key.<\/p>\n<p>This option also works well together with our free\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rorohiko.com\/wordpress\/indesign-downloads\/imagehorn\/\" target=\"_self\">ImageHorn<\/a><\/em> tool or the CS5 auto-fit option (you need version 1.0.3 or higher\u00a0of <em>ImageHorn<\/em>).
